Small ball alone probably won’t win a title but it could be a risk-taking strategy that might work or might improve the chances of an underdog. If you go normal or big vs the same, you have to be better in a more straightforward way. Small ball novelty probably isn’t as helpful in a series as it can be in the regular season schedule.
Small ball for 1/4th to 1/3rd of court time isn’t that drastic and I’d probably keep it in that range most of the time.
