Jacob Jackson :Thanks for the great feedback and data, Crow. Much appreciated. Yeah, the super-small lineup I’d be envisioning would be Durant-Green at the 4/5, with Ibaka getting all backup minutes at both the 4 and 5, and occasionally playing alongside both Durant and Green, making Ibaka a 30 minutes per game guy.
Let’s ignore my crazy trade proposal above. Let’s say they can sign North Dakota native Mike Miller to help spread the floor.

with Maynor, Sefalosha, Ibaka as your key bench pieces earning 25-30 minutes per game and rounding out your 8-man rotation.
A very small group, but very skilled and incredibly athletic. Admittedly, I am philosophically biased against playing guys with fringe NBA athleticism like Collison and Krystic. That’s why I was eager to find a trade location for them that netted a highly-skilled small guy in return (and capitalized on the Thunder cap space).
And in a very small sample, Crow, I’m excited to see that the data supports the idea of using a small ball lineup. Thanks again for finding and posting it.

Give it up man. Green can’t play center! He could barely defend PFs last year. We need to get a big PF and/or C in the draft or free agency and bring Green off the bench, similar to what L.A. does with Odom. Then draft or sign a shooter and we are set.
